The Killingworth Castle

The Killingworth Castle

The Killingworth Castle dates from 1637 and is situated two miles from Blenheim Palace (where you can walk your dog) and Woodstock in a lovely village called Wootton by Woodstock. It’s the perfect place to explore the North Oxfordshire Cotswolds countryside and also the city of Oxford and Bicester Village. The pub was rescued by Claire & Jim Alexander after a years’ closure in 2012 and not a nook or cranny has been left in its transformation. The pub holds an AA Rosette and has been runner up in the Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards and also awarded the Oxford Times’ Pub of the Year. There are eight, brand new 4 star ensuite letting bedrooms in the adjoining stable block, some with roll top baths, taxidermy, sumptuous furnishings and original artworks. Renowned chef, Sonya Kidney is executive chef at the helm of The Killingworth Castle and its sister pub, The Ebrington Arms near Chipping Campden. Both pubs are open all day every day with our own recipe craft ales from the Yubberton Brewery, homemade bar snacks available in the afternoon (9-close). Car park & large beer garden. Walkers welcome. Dogs allowed in garden and bar area.
