Horse and Groom sits atop a hill looking out onto rolling Cotswolds countryside and rows of honey-hued 17th and 18th Century buildings. Located in Bourton-on-the-Hill, one of the Cotswolds’ many postcard-perfect villages, you’re ideally placed for exploring the countryside and just a 30-minute drive from Stratford-Upon-Avon. The building itself exudes warmth and character with Cotswold stone walls, exposed wooden beams, mis-matched furniture and roaring log fires.
Rustic simplicity is key to their culinary appeal. Pull up a chair in one of the three dining areas, each a different shape and size and dine on creative seasonal dishes or hearty pub classics. With their very own vegetable patch and fruit cage in the garden and an allotment in the neighbouring countryside, the focus is on fresh food made from the finest local and in-house ingredients.
Horse and Groom has five sumptuous bedrooms, four of which are dog-friendly. Each bedroom has been individually styled and tastefully furnished with an en-suite bath and shower, Bramley bath and body products, a flat screen TV, and tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits.
